This free, fun filled community event on April 24, 2010 promotes a healthy and sustainable environment by highlighting planet-friendly activities, services and products. Come and enjoy an afternoon of family activities! It is a day full of surprises and fun for the whole family while learning about recycling and caring for the environment.
The event is set for Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Conejo Creek Park North, 1379 E. Janss Road (near Janss and 23 Fwy). Presented by the City of Thousand Oaks and the Conejo Recreation and Park District the event features eco-friendly vendors and exhibitors drawing approximately 5,000 visitors each year.
Highlights include more than 100 vendors and exhibitors, tree & plant giveaways, park rangers, and new technology vehicles. Children will be able to build birdhouses, make crafts out of recycled materials, or visit with local wild animals. Entertainment will be available throughout the day on the outdoor stage.
