Chicago’s legendary sketch comedy theatre presents their one of a kind Laugh Out Loud Tour, featuring some of the best sketches, songs, and improvisations from The Second City’s 52-year history. The Second City is truly a Chicago landmark and a national treasure.

Irish Cabaret Peformance Kicks Off
St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

(Thousand Oaks, CA)— The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Foundation presents TAYLOR’S TRADITIONAL IRISH CABARET,  at the Fred Kavli Theatre at 7:00 pm on Saturday, March 17, 2012.  

Direct from Dublin, Taylor’s Irish Cabaret is an exhilarating and unique spectacle incorporating a distinctive blend of Irish music, song, laughter and dance. This prestigious Irish Cabaret has entertained millions for 35 years and continues to wow audiences worldwide in its new home ‘Taylor’s Three Rock’ Dublin, Ireland where it runs seven nights a week from May to October. This year’s new production is the highest-rated show in Britain and Ireland as voted for by the Top Travel Companies in Europe.

The show stars legendary Irish comedian, Noel V. Ginnity, recently dubbed ‘The King of Cabaret’ because of his unequalled ability to portray the wit and wisdom of Ireland. This spectacular show, produced by Stuart O’ Connor, along with inventive choreography by national dance star Ciaran Keating, features high-octane dance routines performed by Ireland’s most talented dancers. Moscow Festival Ballet’s “Swan Lake” 
Graces the Kavli Stage on Feb 16

(Thousand Oaks, CA)— The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Foundation presents Moscow Festival Ballet’s Swan lake at the Fred Kavli Theatre at 7:30 pm on Thursday, February 16, 2012.  

The Moscow Festival Ballet was founded in 1989 when legendary principal dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet Sergei Radchenko sought to realize his vision of a company which would bring together the highest classical elements of the great Bolshoi and Kirov Ballet companies in an independent new company within the framework of Russian classic ballet. Leading dancers from across the Russias have forged under Radchenko’s direction an exciting new company staging new productions of timeless classics such as Giselle, Don Quixote, Paquita and Carmen.  

 The Moscow Festival Ballet has toured extensively throughout North America, the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia. Under the direction of Radchenko, the Moscow Festival Ballet continues to expand its repertoire.  In addition to commissioning new works from within Russia and abroad, the company specializes in twentieth century full-length ballets such as Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet, Legend of Love, Stone Flower and The Golden Age.  

 Born in 1944, Sergei Radchenko graduated from the Moscow School of Dance in 1964 and then joined the Bolshoi Ballet, where he worked for 25 years.  He danced the entire repertoire at the Bolshoi, but enjoyed a special reputation for Spanish dance, particularly the role of the bullfighter in the Bizet-Shchedrin Carmen Suite.  As Founder and Artistic Director of the Moscow Festival Ballet, he has achieved a remarkable feat in the establishment and development of this young but great Russian ballet company.

The Alliance Shoot-Out for the Arts Golf Classic is a special event presented by the Alliance for the Arts, the official non-profit fundraising arm of the Bank of America Performing Arts Center located at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. This year, the Alliance and The Granada Theatre are joining together to create an even more spectacular golf tournament.

Now in its 15^th year, the golf tournament will help provid funds to support performing and visual arts programming and help the Alliance and The Granada sponsor local and resident arts groups as well as national and internationally-acclaimed arts.  Your participation will help continue to establish the finest programming and special performances.

Over the years the tournament has raised over $1.5 million.

Golfers meet for a networking breakfast, pre-tournament contests, 18 holes of golf, lunch, followed by an awards buffet dinner and live auction.

The Anniversary Gala was held to celebrate the opening of the theatre season and to thank and honor individuals, foundations and corporations for their support of the arts held at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

Guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner and awards presentation in the Scherr Forum Theatre followed by dazzling entertainment held in the Fred Kavli Theatre.
