About The Village Voices

The Village Voices awards annual scholarships to college students majoring in voice and gives grants to local elementary school choral music programs. A highlight of the Village Voices Chorale spring concerts is the appearance of our winners and recipients. Be delighted by elementary school choral groups and treated to our scholarship winners who are considering a career in opera, and whose command of the art form is already impressively apparent.

Grand     Finale!

Pianist     Anton Kuerti to Play Beethoven

Our 17th Season will finish with a flourish May 11-13 as we     welcome internationally-acclaimed pianist Anton Kuerti to our

stage. Renowned for his vast understanding of Beethoven’s works,     Mr. Kuerti will perform the Beethoven     Concerto No. 4 in G Major for Piano and Orchestra, considered     to be one of his greatest compositions. Also on the program is Brahms’ Symphony No. 1 in C Minor.

Mr. Kuerti consistently plays to sell-out crowds throughout     North America and abroad, receiving rave reviews. “Suddenly we were in     the unmistakable presence of greatness,” wrote Toronto’s Globe and Mail.     “He was no longer playing the piano, the music was playing him and we     rode the wave, too.”  Read more.
