A Distinguished Advisory Donor Group
In keeping with the spirit of creating and launching the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza into a renowned performing and visual arts center, the Thousand Oaks City Council approved the establishment of a very special Advisory Donor Group, known as the Founders Circle. Founders Circle Members are major donor patrons who contribute a minimum of $60,000 to the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.
This prestigious Advisory Donor Group joins with the leadership of our community to ensure the continued enjoyment of outstanding cultural experiences presented at the Plaza. Members hold an honored position at the Civic Arts Plaza, and have been granted special responsibilities and privileges.
General gifts from Founders have helped to build two endowments:
- The Operations Endowment which supports operations and maintenance of the Plaza theatres.
- The Programming Endowment which supports performing arts.
Becoming a Founder
You can become a distinguished member of the Founders Circle with an initial minimum pledge of $60,000 or more, which may be paid over a period of time.

Founder Privileges
Special recognition and a variety of exclusive privileges are offered to Founders:
- Priority seating
- Advanced ticket notification for all performances
- A private ticketing service
- Founders Wall and major naming opportunities identification
- A bronze muse sculpture and muse pin
- Invitations to special rehearsals
- Backstage visits by appointment
- Invitations to special events and theatre parties
- Gifts at higher levels of participation may include the flexibility of deferred giving plans tailored to each donor’s capabilities and desires.
Special and Social Events
Founders enjoy invitations to special events, theatre parties, and Season Premiere Black-Tie Galas which honor philanthropic and artistic leaders and the extraordinary contributions they make.
