Sustaining the Arts
Early members of the Alliance for the Arts worked tirelessly to bring the arts to the region. The Alliance for the Arts battle cry from 1980 to 1999 was “if you build it, we will fund it,” and so we did. Now, we are called upon to sustain it.
The Dream
The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza was a dream and was built by and for the residents of our regional community to provide high quality arts experiences, to expand the appreciation of the performing and visual arts, and to nurture the development of the region’s own performing arts companies.
